Job summary

Prescription Landscape seeks a Snow and Ice Crew Lead to manage field crews, translating event plans into daily assignments and ensuring safety, timeliness, and quality during sidewalk clearing and deicing. You will coach crew members, monitor performance, and document service while escalating site or staffing concerns through the Campus Supervisor or Production Manager.

Qualifications

• Prior lead experience or demonstrated readiness to direct, train, and support a small field crew.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Company driving requirements; DOT qualification when required for assigned vehicles.
• Ability to understand and follow site maps, work tickets, route plans, safety information, weather-response instructions, and verbal direction.
• Experience in snow and ice, landscape, construction, or comparable field experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate the event plan into daily crew assignments and prepare the crew.
• Assign and demonstrate work, establish safe zones and communication methods, monitor pace and quality, and adjust activity within the approved event plan.
• Account for crew members, verify timekeeping, manage breaks and fatigue per Company requirements, and communicate staffing gaps.
• Provide in-field coaching and report attendance, conduct, safety, or performance concerns to the supervisor.
• Serve as the onsite contact for routine production matters and escalate scope, pricing, or customer-commitment decisions to management.
• Lead sidewalk clearing, detail work, equipment operation, and deicing per site specs; conduct safety checks and final walkthroughs.
• Complete Aspire work tickets, time entries, notes, quantities, issues, photographs, and Sitefotos quality documentation accurately.
• Lead pre-use inspections and safety preparation; verify PPE, communication devices, first-aid supplies, equipment, fuel, and materials are ready.

Position Summary

The Snow and Ice Crew Lead is a working field leader responsible for the safe, timely, and complete performance of an assigned sidewalk or snow crew. The role translates the event plan into daily assignments, prepares the crew and equipment, monitors safety and quality, documents service, coaches Crew Members, and escalates site or staffing concerns through the applicable Campus Supervisor or Production Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Crew and Event Leadership

• Review the site plan, work tickets, forecast, service priorities, staffing, equipment, and materials before deployment and arrive early enough to prepare the crew.
• Assign and demonstrate work, establish safe zones and communication methods, monitor pace and quality, and adjust activity within the approved event plan.
• Account for crew members throughout the event, verify accurate timekeeping, manage breaks and fatigue within Company requirements, and communicate staffing gaps promptly.
• Provide respectful in-field coaching and report attendance, conduct, training, safety, or performance concerns to the applicable supervisor.
• Serve as the onsite contact for routine production matters and refer scope, pricing, complaint, or customer-commitment decisions to management.

Quality, Documentation, and Safety

• Perform and lead sidewalk clearing, detail work, equipment operation, and deicing according to site specifications and material direction.
• Conduct required service checks and final walkthroughs; correct missed work and report refreeze, drifting, damage, access limitations, hazards, or out-of-scope conditions.
• Complete Aspire work tickets, time entries, notes, quantities, issues, photographs, and Sitefotos quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Lead pre-use inspections and safety preparation; verify PPE, communication devices, first-aid supplies, equipment, fuel, and materials are ready and secured.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous snow and ice, landscape, construction, or comparable field experience and demonstrated ability to safely perform the assigned service work.
• Prior lead experience or demonstrated readiness to direct, train, and support a small field crew.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Company driving requirements; DOT qualification when required for assigned vehicles.
• Ability to understand and follow site maps, work tickets, route plans, safety information, weather-response instructions, and verbal direction.
• Ability to use a mobile device and Company systems for time, work-ticket, material, photo, issue, and quality documentation as assigned.
