Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (SNF RN) in Hawaii to provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

The role includes administering medications, transcribing orders, maintaining medication stock, conducting assessments, and managing admissions, transfers, and discharges. Hawaii RN license required; geriatrics experience preferred; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Hawaii RN license required.
  • Experience in geriatrics preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Administers medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
  • Transcribes physician orders to the MAR and related records.
  • Maintains and orders appropriate inventory of medications and stock supplies.
  • Conducts accurate physical assessments and implements interventions.
  • Performs assessments on admission, transfer, and discharge.

Salary Range: $48.50 To $50.30 Hourly

The Position:

We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses to help us with providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility.

  • Administers medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
  • Takes telephone orders from physicians and transcribes orders to new medication administration record, the pre-printed physician order sheet, resident chart, treatment/care plans as appropriate.
  • Maintains & orders appropriate inventory of resident medications and medical stock supplies.
  • Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents, determines their needs and implements appropriate interventions to meet those needs.
  • Performs assessments on admission, transfer and/or discharges.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
  • Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation required.
  • First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
