Job summary

Hale Makua Health Services in Maui seeks a passionate Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to residents per facility policies. The role includes performing accurate physical assessments, partnering with physicians to improve care, and overseeing CNA-driven care delivery in a 254-bed post-acute setting.

We offer a full-time position with a $8,000 retention bonus or part-time with $4,000, relocation assistance may be provided, and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Hawaii RN license.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (in-house).
• First Aid and CPR preferred (in-house).

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures.
• Performs comprehensive physical assessments and determines resident needs.
• Collaborates with physicians, consultants, and agencies to improve quality of services.
• Administers medications and treatments and maintains inventory as ordered.
• Oversees care delivery by CNAs.

The Position

We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses to help us with providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility.

• Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents, determines their needs and implements appropriate interventions to meet those needs.
• Collaborates with physicians, consultants, and agencies to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.
• Administers and maintains inventory of resident medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
• Oversees care delivery by CNAs

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
• First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
