Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health in Kaneohe, Hawaii seeks an experienced Director of Nursing to lead the delivery of nursing and clinical care for residents in line with state and federal guidelines.

The role includes oversight of admissions, MDS, care planning, and infection control, ensuring timely responses to resident events while promoting a mission-driven team culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years professional nursing experience.
  • Experience in geriatrics, or long-term care preferred; management experience preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in Hawaii.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
  • Provides oversight of MDS assessments, care planning and RAI process. Oversees Infection Control processes.
  • Ensures continuity in provision of nursing services to meet established standards of quality and reviews incident reports and 24-hour reports.
  • Oversees resident care and implementation of and compliance with resident-specific care plans.
  • Conducts daily resident rounds, including regulatory compliance rounds, in all nursing units and follows up on issues.

The Position:
