Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a Production Technician Snacks Processing at our Topeka site. The role focuses on producing high-quality Treats with minimal yield loss, operating and monitoring production lines, and adhering to GMPs and safety rules.

Key duties include starting up/shutting down lines, basic equipment maintenance, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. A high-school diploma and ability to work rotating shifts are required.

• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Safety Rules and GMPs.
• Produce high-quality products safely.
• Attend assigned shifts; be on time.
• Operate equipment to start/maintain production lines.
• Assist with startup/shutdown and cleanups weekly.
• Perform basic maintenance of department equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in production areas.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Read and follow diagrams and schematics.
