Job summary

Promotion In Motion, headquartered in Park Ridge, NJ, seeks a Category Manager to drive category growth for key retail partners. You will translate shopper and syndicated data into actionable strategies, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Insights, and customers to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Category Management or related fields, with strong data analytics, BI tools, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
• 5+ years in Category Management, Sales Analytics, Consumer Insights, Shopper Marketing, Marketing, or related CPG disciplines
• Experience supporting retail customers within the CPG industry
• Demonstrated ability to use data and insights to influence business decisions and growth
• Strong experience with syndicated data platforms (NielsenIQ, Circana/IRI, 84.51°)
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas)
• Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills
• Familiarity with planogram software and space management tools preferred
• Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau or other BI tools is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category growth strategies for assigned customers and channels
• Provide category insights to support customer business reviews and merchandising decisions
• Partner with Sales to identify revenue and profit opportunities and build relationships with retailers
• Lead category reviews and internal/external presentations
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, Supply Chain, and Insights teams to align priorities
