Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Technician 3, SMT Operator for a leading electronics manufacturing client in Lockport, NY. The role supports production operations in the manufacturing department with emphasis on accuracy and proactive problem solving.

Shift is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime. Responsibilities include operating SMT pick-and-place equipment, reading schematics and assembly prints, performing routine maintenance, and keeping precise production records.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret assembly prints, schematics, work instructions, and BOMs.
• Familiarity with IPC standards and ESD precautions.
• Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT automated pick and place equipment to manufacture PC boards.
• Perform periodic cleaning and routine maintenance on machinery.
• Read and interpret assembly prints, schematics, work instructions, and specifications to set up and operate equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Keep detailed records of production activities and machine maintenance.
