Job summary

Fuji America Corporation in Vernon Hills, IL, is seeking an SMT Process Engineer-Technical Center Lead to guide and optimize advanced SMT applications in a hands-on role.

You will lead customer demonstrations, POC builds, and technical evaluations while coordinating with internal teams to meet customer requirements and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires strong software aptitude, Industry 4.0 awareness, and travel up to 15% domestically or internationally.

Qualifications

• Extensive SMT process engineering experience or related field.
• Able to independently lead customer demonstrations and technical evaluations.
• Willing to travel up to 15% domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Technical Center operations including safety, priorities and readiness.
• Plan and lead customer demos, technical evaluations, product trials and POC builds.
• Define application requirements, demonstration objectives, process conditions and success criteria.
• Configure, program, operate and optimize Fuji placement equipment and SMT line systems.
• Troubleshoot machine, software, electrical, material-handling and process issues.
• Prepare demonstration reports, technical summaries and customer-facing documentation.
