Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an SMT Process Engineer to drive high-mix SMT manufacturing improvements on the production floor in Huntington, CT. The role focuses on placement, reflow, inspection, and process stability across a fast-paced PCB/PCBA environment.

The candidate will optimize profiles, troubleshoot issues, and lead CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams. ITAR experience is a strong plus; relocation support may be offered.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of SMT process engineering experience within PCB/PCBA manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in SMT placement equipment and processes
• Reflow soldering & thermal profiling
• Troubleshooting SMT line issues and defects
• Line optimization and process improvements
• Yield improvement initiatives
• Manufacturing data analysis and root cause problem solving
• Hands-on, floor-based mindset with the ability to drive solutions in real time
• Experience supporting automation and production scaling efforts
• ITAR eligibility required; experience working in an ITAR-regulated environment is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize SMT manufacturing processes, including placement, reflow, and inspection

• Assist in validation and implementation of new equipment, materials, and processes
