Job summary

HYVE Solutions is seeking an SMT Operator (Levels I–III) to join our manufacturing team in Carson City. You will learn safety, quality, and productivity standards and operate SMT machines with supervision.

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds, with flexible shifts including overtime and holidays. You will coordinate with Stockroom, Engineering, and Quality to ensure high-quality assemblies and adherence to MPI instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Level 1: 1–2 years manufacturing experience
• Level 2: 3–4 years manufacturing experience
• Level 3: 5+ years manufacturing experience
• Ability to follow safety rules and utilize safety equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Shift flexibility including overtime and holidays
• Ability to read, speak, understand, and communicate using basic English
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with teams

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow company safety, quality, efficiency requirements
• Identify and report potential workplace hazards
• Ensure SMT products meet MPI or provided instructions
• Operate SMT machines including adjustments and 1–3 tasks with supervision
• Perform feeder and machine accessory maintenance as needed
• Monitor consumables for SMT lines and setup
• Collaborate with Stockroom, Engineering, Programming, and Quality to ensure high quality assemblies
• Communicate with teammates and supervisors; report problems and propose solutions
• Uphold company standards to maximize customer satisfaction and production targets
• Keep workspace clean and organized to maximize safety and productivity
• Observe assembly and maintenance instructions and obtain required certifications
• Inspect equipment and perform maintenance to improve performance

SMT Operator Level I, II, III

Job Responsibilities:

• Learn, understand and follow company requirements for employee safety, product quality, efficiency and productivity.
• Become aware of potential workplace hazards such as broken or malfunctioning machines and strive to ensure safety of self and others by reporting any hazards immediately.
• All operators are responsible to ensure highest product quality and products manufactured per MPI or Instructions for SMT.
• Operate SMT machines, which include machine adjustments and ability to perform 1-3 tasks from feeder setup thru SMT machine operation with direct supervision.
• Perform feeder and machine accessory maintenance whenever necessary.
• Monitor consumables for SMT lines and setup.
• Work in conjunction with Stockroom, Engineering, Programming, and Quality to ensure SMT produces assemblies with utmost quality.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors regarding all aspects of the job. Report problems that arise with machines, materials or personnel. Offer solutions where possible within the scope of the duties of the job. Provide complete, accurate documentation when required.
• Learn and uphold company standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency. Strive to achieve company-specified production targets.
• Keep workspace clean and organized to maximize safety and productivity. Offer suggestions for workspace improvement if needed.
• Operate diverse machines related to the manufacturing process.
• Stay up to date on and closely observe assembly and maintenance instructions. Be proactive about acquiring and maintaining any necessary certifications required for the position.
• Inspect equipment, perform maintenance and repairs, and recommend and follow up on machine adjustments to improve performance.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED

Level 1 1-2 yrs previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Level 2 3-4 yrs previous experience in manufacturing environment

Leve 3 5+ yrs previous experience in manufacturing environment

Strong commitment and ability to follow safety rules and procedures and utilize safety equipment

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift or push weights up to 50 pounds

Flexibility in terms of shift scheduling, including scheduling for overtime and holiday shifts

Ability to read, speak, understand, and communicate using basic English.

Ability to coordinate and collaborate with teams
