Variosystems Inc is seeking an SMT Operator in Southlake, TX to operate SMT assembly equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality. The role supports production objectives through proper equipment use, adherence to processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include completing paste printing, placement, and reflow tasks, accurate production tracking, and following SMT procedures to ensure timely line performance and product quality.

• Maintain accurate production tracking in Snapshot Forms.
• Comply with SMT procedures and documentation.
• Keep accurate board counts and production tracking.
• Follow AOI 30-minute sample procedures promptly.
• Generate product serial numbers in the Aegis system.
• Perform hand placement as needed.
• Assist with line changeovers and inspections.
• Assist with line PMs as needed.
• Maintain material traceability as required.

Position Overview

The SMT Operator is responsible for operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This position ensures production objectives are achieved through proper equipment operation, adherence to established processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Working within the parameters of the Quality Management (QM) System, the role supports Variosystems' quality initiatives, operational excellence, and company growth objectives by consistently delivering high-quality products that meet customer and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the highest quality of the paste printing, placement, and reflow process.
• Ensure production tracking documents (Snapshot Forms) are completed properly.
• Complying with all SMT procedures.
• Accurate board counting/production tracking.
• Ensuring AOI 30-minute sample procedure is followed in a timely fashion.
• Birthing product serial numbers in Aegis system.
• Perform hand placement as needed.
• Assist with line changeovers as needed.
• Assist with inspection as needed.
• Assist with line PMs as needed.
• Maintain material traceability as required.
