Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Germantown is seeking an SMT Team Lead to direct all SMT manufacturing operations for high-quality electronic assemblies. You will lead equipment setup, programming, production support, and quality assurance while ensuring compliance with procedures and 5S standards.

You will coordinate schedules, supervise the team, and drive process improvements, safety, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of SMT manufacturing experience.
• Experience operating SMT production equipment (paste printers, P&P, reflow ovens, inspection).
• Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and electronic components.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily SMT production documentation and records.
• Coordinate and prioritize production schedules based on requirements and due dates.
• Verify PCB revisions and data against routing and programs.
• Monitor material availability and address component shortages with manufacturing leadership.
• Process SMT transactions in ERP systems and manage production documentation.
