Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is hiring an SMT Manufacturing Technician to support surface mount production equipment in a fast-paced electronics environment. You will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and verify SMT lines, ensuring quality PCBAs and adherence to IPC standards.

Responsibilities include changeovers, program verification, preventive maintenance, material checks, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvements and successful New Product Introductions.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in electronics required.
1–3 years SMT/electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience operating SMT equipment; Juki SMT a plus.
Ability to read assembly instructions and drawings; manufacturing docs.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor SMT production equipment (paste printers, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI).
Perform changeovers, verify programs, and conduct first-article inspections.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
Perform preventive maintenance on SMT equipment.
Verify materials and load components correctly.
Inspect PCB assemblies for conformance to specs.
Monitor yields and identify process improvement opportunities.
Maintain production, quality, and maintenance records.
Follow IPC standards and safety procedures.
Collaborate with engineering/quality/production to resolve issues.
Assist with new product introductions and process validation.
