Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in New York is seeking a detail-oriented SMT Manufacturing Technician to support the operation and maintenance of SMT production equipment for PCBAs in a fast-paced electronics environment.

You will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and verify quality of SMT lines, participate in NPI and process improvements, and maintain records while following IPC standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, manufacturing technology or related field.
1–3 years' SMT or electronics manufacturing experience.
Experience with SMT equipment and automated assembly machinery; Juki a plus.
Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and manufacturing docs.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with manufacturing software.
PC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor SMT production equipment (solder paste printers, pick-and-place, reflow ovens, AOI/SPI).
Perform changeovers, program verification, and first-article inspections.
Troubleshoot equipment/process issues to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
Conduct preventative maintenance on SMT equipment.
Verify material availability and proper feeder loading.
Inspect PCB assemblies for quality and conformance to specs.
Monitor yields and identify opportunities for improvement.
Maintain production, quality, and maintenance records.
Follow IPC standards, instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.
Collaborate with engineering/quality/production to resolve issues.
Assist with NPI and process validation activities.
