Job summary

CommuteAir LLC is seeking a Manager of Safety Management System (SMS) to oversee and coordinate the company\'s SMS processes. The role focuses on improving safety performance across the organization and supporting regulatory compliance.

The manager will administer investigations, lead risk analyses, and maintain records while partnering with departments to implement corrective actions and training. Strong communication and aviation background are required, with US work authorization expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation safety, aviation management, safety management, engineering, or related field.
• Relevant aviation operations experience or safety program administration is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and escalate safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Monitors safety reports and events; escalates significant concerns.
• Administers internal safety investigations coordinating with departments.
• Reviews investigation docs and ensures quality and completeness.
• Coordinates Safety Risk Management activities and risk assessments.
• Maintains SMS records and tracking systems as required.
• Chairs SMS governance meetings and coordinates with Safety Dept.
