Job summary

Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Plymouth, MA is hiring a full-time Smoking Attendant. Work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

on weekdays; pay is $18 per hour with weekly pay. You will provide residents with a clean and orderly smoking environment, assist with smoking tasks, transport residents to and from the designated smoking area, and maintain safety in the designated area. On-the-job training is provided; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience & Education:

• On-the-job training provided.
• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with smoking, lighting materials, and or help with transportation to and from the designated smoking area.
• Maintain a clean designated smoking area for residents.
• Transportation of the residents to and from the designated smoking area.
• Ensuring residents maintain a safe smoking environment.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
