Job summary

Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a full-time Smoking Attendant at our nursing home. The role supports residents with smoking, transports them to designated areas, and helps maintain a clean, safe smoking space.

• Monday 3-11
• Friday 7-3
• Saturday 3-11

• Assist residents with smoking, lighting materials, and transporting them to and from the designated smoking area
• Maintain a clean designated smoking area for residents
• Transport residents to and from the smoking area, ensuring their safety
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques and respect for facility equipment and supplies
• Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions

Requirements:

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• On-the-job training provided
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and visitors
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
