Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Smokehouse team member in Holly Springs, NC, to deliver friendly, engaging service and build guest relationships. You will actively interact with guests, perform pit master duties, and ensure product quality and safety within a fast-paced department.

The role requires ability to perform multiple tasks, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and work well with a team. Culinary knowledge and meat cutting experience are preferred, with a willingness to learn and engage

Qualifications

• Must be able to actively engage guests and have fun with guests.
• Previous meat cutting/trimming experience required.
• Knowledge of deli and meat department operations preferred.
• Able to read and understand information and directions.
• Able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Handle product prep, receiving, stocking, and guest service to meet standards.
• Maintain HACCP logs as required.
• Perform light meat cutting duties.
• Support management with all assigned duties.
• Make PA announcements as needed.

Overview

To grow community through building guest loyalty and providing personal guest interactions that build genuine relationships with guests and result in a brand-aligned experience while maintaining operating standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides fun, friendly and engaging service
• Actively engage guests through freshly prepared Smokehouse samples and story-selling
• Perform activities outlined in the Pit Master character performance description
• Operate the department according to strict merchandising and operational standards
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards
• Maintain HACCP required product information log sheets as necessary
• Perform light meat cutting duties as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management
• Perform PA announcements

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic and outgoing personality
• Must be able to actively engage guests and be willing to have fun with our guests
• Willingness to perform in front of large crowd and draw attention to the Smokehouse department
• Ability to perform multiple tasks, simultaneously
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
• Previous meat cutting/trimming experience
• Previous Culinary knowledge and/or background preferred
• Ability to read and understand information and direction
• Knowledge of deli as well as meat department operations
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to effectively communicate with, and take direction from supervision
• Ability to work well with computers
