Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a team-oriented individual to join the Smokehouse department. You will engage guests with friendly service, present freshly prepared samples, and tell compelling stories to drive guest loyalty while upholding high merchandising and safety standards.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience in meat cutting or culinary settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic and outgoing personality.
• Ability to engage guests and have fun with guests.
• Willingness to perform in front of large crowd.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Previous meat cutting/trimming experience.
• Culinary knowledge and/or background preferred.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and safety in the department.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain HACCP product information logs as required.
• Conduct light meat cutting duties as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.

Responsibilities

• Provides fun, friendly and engaging service
• Actively engage guests through freshly prepared Smokehouse samples and story-selling
• Perform activities outlined in the Pit Master character performance description
• Operate the department according to strict merchandising and operational standards
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards
• Maintain HACCP required product information log sheets as necessary
• Perform light meat cutting duties as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management
• Perform PA announcements
