Job summary

SAFEbuilt is seeking a dedicated Facilities Irrigation Technician to join our team in the Town of Florida, NY. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems across various municipal facilities, ensuring efficient water use and conservation practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in commercial irrigation installation, maintenance, or repair preferred.
• Valid Florida Driver License with acceptable driving record required.
• Experience with smart irrigation technology desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot irrigation controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, pumps, and wiring.
• Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner.

Skills

Knowledge of commercial irrigation systems

Ability to diagnose irrigation malfunctions

Understanding of water conservation practices

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently

Education

High school diploma or GED

Irrigation Association or Florida Irrigation Society certification
