Job summary

Vivint Smart Home is seeking Field Service Technicians to install smart home technology and proactively identify and sell upgraded solutions, delivering customers total peace of mind.

You’ll receive comprehensive training, a take-home company vehicle with a gas card, and uncapped commission with incentives, plus a 4‑day workweek (4/10) including Saturdays.

This role blends technical installation with consultative sales, requiring a valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• A Sales Mindset: Experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a major plus.
• Customer First Attitude: Ability to act with integrity while building rapport with diverse customers.
• Technical Aptitude: Experience in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful but not required.
• Requirements: A valid driver’s license and a good driving record; ability to pass post-offer background checks per applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Technical Excellence: Installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Consultative Sales: Evaluating customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements on-site.
• Customer Education: Training homeowners on how to use their new system to protect their families.
• Growth: Coaching and leadership training to move up within the national organization.
