Job summary

Hitachi Digital Services in the United States is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to define architecture for manufacturing modernization across MES, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, DCS and enterprise applications such as ERP, PLM, QMS, and Maximo.

You will drive Smart Factory initiatives, IIoT, edge computing, predictive maintenance, digital twins, and AI/ML-enabled analytics while ensuring OT/IT alignment and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in solution or enterprise architecture or IT leadership in manufacturing.
• 5+ years delivering enterprise solutions in manufacturing or smart factory environments.
• Experience as solution/enterprise architect for large-scale manufacturing implementations.
• Proven ability to design enterprise integrations across manufacturing and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define solution architecture aligned with strategy.
• Design secure, scalable solutions integrating MES, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, DCS with ERP/QMS/PLM/Maximo.
• Lead architecture for Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives (IIoT, AI/ML, digital twins).
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, cloud services, and vendors to support modernization.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, OT/IT standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership through the project lifecycle and architecture reviews.
