Job summary

Freudenberg Findlay is hiring a Digitalization Engineer to lead Industry 4.0 initiatives and implement digital manufacturing solutions across MES, SCADA, IoT, and data systems.

You will design dashboards and analytics, partner with engineering, operations, IT, and quality teams, and drive adoption of new technologies such as AI and machine vision to improve productivity and visibility on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, CS, automation, mechatronics, or industrial tech)
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, automation, digitalization, or Industry 4.0 environments
• Experience with PLCs, MES, SCADA, machine connectivity, or data acquisition
• Proficiency with digitalization tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Ignition, Grafana
• Experience with SQL, databases, APIs, scripting, programming, or industrial protocols
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into business improvements

Responsibilities

• Lead Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory initiatives to improve productivity, quality, process visibility, and operational performance
• Develop and implement digital manufacturing solutions including MES, SCADA, machine connectivity, IoT, and data systems
• Create dashboards, KPIs, and analytics tools for data-driven decision making
• Design and deploy Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate solutions to streamline processes
• Identify opportunities for automation, machine vision, and AI to solve manufacturing challenges
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, IT, and global teams to execute digitalization projects
• Serve as a technical expert and change agent to drive adoption of new technologies
