Job summary

Siemens Mobility is offering a Building Automation Systems Project Management Internship in the Chicago area. The 10-week program runs full-time (40 hours/week) with start dates in 2027 and exposes you to project management, sales and service functions within smart buildings.

You will rotate through departments, learn construction project delivery, and develop a project schedule while gaining hands-on experience in HVAC, fire/safety and energy systems.

Qualifications

• Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited 4-year U.S. college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week program.
• No relocation or housing stipend provided.
• Must be located within 50 miles of the office with a reliable vehicle.
• Program does not support visa types listed.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to establish a project delivery plan.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate with the project team.
• Manage procurement of supplies and materials.
• Participate in project cost reviews.
• Track labor resources and project progress.
• Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
• Complete project close-out documentation.
• Rotate through other departments to learn branch operations.
