Trane Technologies is seeking a Smart Buildings Integration & Test Engineer to lead validation, testing, and cloud readiness of next-gen building tech. You will bridge embedded hardware, BAS subsystems, and enterprise cloud layers, ensuring edge devices integrate into edge-to-cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in BAS/HVAC testing and strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and IT/OT networking.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Building Automation, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in building automation, HVAC controls, hardware/software testing, or smart building integration.
• Proficiency with BACnet, Modbus, MQTT; strong IT/OT networking and Wireshark knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Connect, configure, and unify smart HVAC, lighting, energy management, and edge devices with cloud platforms via REST, MQTT or WebSockets.
• Design and maintain the physical Integration Test Lab, test benches, and prototyping walls.
• Execute protocol stack validation across BACnet, Modbus, MQTT and wireless meshes.
• Validate hardware-to-software integration across controllers, edge devices, thermostats, and enterprise platforms.
• Verify BACnet object discovery, properties, BTl compliance, and device profiles across hybrid IT/OT networks.
• Use lab instruments to isolate signal degradation, RS-485 faults, power interruptions, and defects.
• Develop test strategies, automated regression scripts (Python, Postman, Jenkins), and test benches.
• Replicate real-world field conditions and stress-test network scalability before production.
• Maintain QA repository with test plans, logs, packet captures, and Jira anomalies.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, Hardware/Software Engineering, Support and Deployment teams.
