Trane Technologies is seeking a software/test engineer to advance our embedded controls testing for HVAC and building systems. You will analyze requirements, create test cases, and execute automated and manual tests to ensure product quality.

The role emphasizes collaboration with controls engineering, development of simulators, and ongoing process improvement, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science or commensurate experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel macros and pivot tables.
• Ability to work safely with electrical equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AI tools for software testing is preferred.
• Experience with embedded controls testing and firmware testing is preferred.
• Programming experience in Python, C, C++, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze functional requirements to generate a comprehensive set of test cases.
• Write functional test procedures and automated test scripts.
• Execute test procedures and automated scripts and report defects.
• Assist in building and maintaining engineering test facilities.
• Help develop hardware and software simulators when appropriate.
• Advance testing tools, technology, and processes within Controls Engineering.
• Meet short- and long-term deadlines and customer needs.
