Qualifications

  • Previous small-parts assembly, production, electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to small details.

Responsibilities

  • Review production schedules, shop instructions, and applicable drawings before beginning work.
  • Gather small parts, hardware, pins, wire harnesses, hoses, electrical components, and other required materials.
  • Prepare and organize the assembly workstation and required tooling.
  • Assemble components according to specifications and established procedures.
  • Install and label wires, hoses, hardware, electrical components, and decals when applicable.
  • Use measuring devices to verify dimensions and assembly accuracy.
  • Inspect completed assemblies and identify defects, missing components, or rework requirements.
  • Perform applicable testing and record results as required.
  • Clean finished assemblies, package completed goods, and move them to designated staging areas.
  • Maintain an orderly work area and report tooling, equipment, material, or maintenance needs.

Position Summary

Small Parts Assembler

Pay: 22-25 DOE | Full-Time | Gulfport, MS

The Small Parts Assembler performs detailed assembly of smaller manufactured components and subassemblies. This role is well suited for someone with good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow written instructions and specifications.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Review production schedules, shop instructions, and applicable drawings before beginning work.
  • Gather small parts, hardware, pins, wire harnesses, hoses, electrical components, and other required materials.

  • Assemble components according to specifications and established procedures.

Work Environment & Expectations

Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment and may involve noise, moving equipment, metal components, oils, dust, and changing temperatures. Must consistently follow PPE requirements, safe lifting practices, equipment procedures, and all workplace safety rules. Must be able to stand and move for extended periods and perform the lifting, reaching, bending, and material-handling duties required for the position. Must maintain dependable attendance, quality workmanship, productivity, and a team-oriented approach.
