Job description

The Assembler supports the manufacture and assembly of small components and motion control products and systems. This role performs detailed assembly, inspection, and measurement activities to ensure all products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble small components, motion control products, and related systems in accordance with work instructions, job orders, and customer requirements.
  • Inspect components and completed assemblies using visual checks and precision measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, routers, job orders, and work instructions to complete work accurately.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and other hand-held measuring tools to verify dimensions and production accuracy.
  • Identify quality concerns, nonconforming parts, or assembly issues and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work area.
  • Follow established company safety, quality, and production procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Ability to follow routers and written procedures accurately.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to use basic hand-held measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong manual dexterity and the ability to handle and manipulate small components.
  • Ability to perform detailed, repetitive work while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Experience with soldering, lead wiring, and forming is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, with periodic sitting, bending, and stooping.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 10 to 30 pounds on a routine basis.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Consistent use of both hands to perform repetitive assembly and inspection tasks.
  • Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required to inspect small components and perform precision work.

This position works in a manufacturing environment and requires consistent attention to quality, safety, and production requirements.
