Job summary

Kidwell is seeking a Small Jobs Electrical Foreman to lead and coordinate electrical crews on medium to large commercial or multi-unit residential projects in the Lincoln area. The role requires effective organization, strong communication, and a passion for team leadership.

Nebraska journeyman license is required, with growth potential as Kidwell expands in Lincoln. You will oversee field operations, ensure safety standards, and maintain project timelines and budgets while representing Kidwell

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and delegate tasks to apprentices and journeyman on the jobsite.
• Train and develop staff on jobs to create competent teams.
• Coordinate with project management to handle change orders, purchasing, RFIs, and scheduling.
• Predict future staffing needs with Field Personnel Director.
• Interpret drawings/blueprints to ensure high-quality installation and efficiency.
• Manage budget adherence and timelines on job scope changes.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure timely project completion.
• Collaborate with general contractors and other trades on-site.

Almost all of our leadership team (PM's, Estimators, Directors, etc.) started out in the field, and we continue to have new leadership opportunities created regularly.

What You'll Do

• Strategically plan and delegate tasks to apprentices and journeyman on the jobsite
• Train and develop staff on jobs to create competent and capable teams
• Partner with Kidwell Project Management team to coordinate change orders, purchasing, RFI's, and other tasks to help support a successful job
• Coordinate with the Field Personnel Director to predict future staffing needs
• Work from drawings and blueprints supplied to make efficient use of materials and labor, in order to provide a high-quality installation and services
• Manage and coordinate changes to job scope, always aiming to keep jobs within the estimated budget and timeline
• Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and jobs
• Work effectively with the general contractor and other contractors on site to maintain project timelines
• Install and repair electrical systems and equipment within the scope of the job
• Create and maintain a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations

Do You Have What It Takes?

• Previous experience managing small to medium job sites and a Journeyman's license are required
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills are required
• Must be passionate about developing an outstanding team and creating an environment that allows for growth opportunities
• Minimum of 6 years of field experience is preferred
• Applicants looking to grow and advance their career in the electrical trade will be strong candidates
• All candidates must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screening, and must maintain a valid Driver's license
