Brief Description

It’s not all circuit breakers & fuses. You understand how someone’s mind is wired as well. That’s a good thing, because this job requires leadership. You can handle it because you have some experience leading a job site to completion already. Kidwell is seeking an Electrical Foreman in the Kearney area. Previous experience running medium to large sized commercial or multi‑unit residential jobs is preferred. Applicants must also possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with a passion to lead a team and job effectively. This position comes with extreme growth potential as we continue to expand in the Kearney market. The leadership team consists of former field professionals, and new leadership opportunities are created regularly. A current State of Nebraska Journeyman license is required. All candidates must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screening, and must maintain a valid driver’s license.

What You’ll Do

• Strategically plan and delegate tasks to apprentices and journeyman on the job site
• Train and develop staff on jobs to create competent and capable teams
• Partner with Kidwell Project Management team to coordinate change orders, purchasing, RFIs, and other tasks to help support a successful job
• Coordinate with the Field Personnel Director to predict future staffing needs
• Work from drawings and blueprints supplied to make efficient use of materials and labor, in order to provide a high‑quality installation and services
• Manage and coordinate changes to job scope, always aiming to keep jobs within the estimated budget and timeline
• Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and jobs
• Work effectively with the general contractor and other contractors on site to maintain project timelines
• Install and repair electrical systems and equipment within the scope of the job
• Create and maintain a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations
