Job summary

Kidwell is seeking a Small Jobs Electrical Foreman in the Lincoln area to lead field teams on commercial and multi-unit residential projects. The role requires a Nebraska Journeyman license, strong leadership, and the ability to manage a crew across on-site tasks from planning to execution.

You'll train apprentices, coordinate with project management on change orders and RFIs, and ensure safe, high-quality installations while keeping projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Nebraska Journeyman license required.
• Pass physical exam and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 6 years field experience preferred.
• Experience managing small to medium job sites.

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and delegate tasks to apprentices and journeyman on the jobsite.
• Train and develop staff on jobs to create capable teams.
• Coordinate change orders, purchasing, RFIs, and other tasks with Project Management.
• Coordinate with Field Personnel Director to predict future staffing needs.
• Work from drawings and blueprints to optimize materials and labor.
• Manage changes to job scope to stay within budget and timeline.
• Coordinate with general contractor and other contractors on site to maintain timelines.
• Install and repair electrical systems and equipment within the scope of the job.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment in line with OSHA regulations.

Kidwell is seeking a Small Jobs Electrical Foreman in the Lincoln area. Previous experience running medium to large sized commercial or multi-unit residential jobs is preferred. Applicants must also possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with a passion to lead a team and job effectively. This position comes with extreme growth potential as we continue to expand in the Lincoln market. Almost all of our leadership team (PM’s, Estimators, Directors, etc.) started out in the field, and we continue to have new leadership opportunities created regularly.

Current State of Nebraska Journeyman license is required. All organizations deserve a first-rate experience when partnering with Kidwell, and the Foreman Electricians will directly represent Kidwell on job sites and in front of customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Strategically plan and delegate tasks to apprentices and journeyman on the jobsite

• Manage and coordinate changes to job scope, always aiming to keep jobs within the estimated budget and timeline
• Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and jobs
• Work effectively with the general contractor and other contractors on site to maintain project timelines
• Install and repair electrical systems and equipment within the scope of the job
• Create and maintain a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations

Do You Have What It Takes?

• Previous experience managing small to medium job sites and a Journeyman’s license are required
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills are required
• Must be passionate about developing an outstanding team and creating an environment that allows for growth opportunities
• Minimum of 6 years of field experience is preferred
• Applicants looking to grow and advance their career in the electrical trade will be strong candidates
• All candidates must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screening, and must maintain a valid Driver’s license
