Job summary

Power Wellness is seeking a Part-Time Small Group Training Coach for Northwestern Medicine Huntley Health & Fitness Center in Huntley, IL. You will deliver engaging small group sessions, tailor programming, and ensure safety and high service standards.

Responsibilities include leading sessions, maintaining certifications, supporting marketing efforts, and coordinating with management to grow training offerings within the community. This role requires a proactive, client-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• NCCA accredited personal trainer certification required.
• Group exercise instructor certification preferred.
• CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review health questionnaires and approvals before training.
• Instruct individual, partner and small group sessions for varied fitness levels.
• Teach group exercise classes to drive engagement.
• Train within certification guidelines and safety standards.
• Design safe training programs considering medical history and goals.
• Schedule and promote personal training services.
• Suggest new programs to grow training offerings.
• Maintain industry certifications and continued education.
• Be punctual and reliable for all sessions.
• Support marketing efforts for Small Group Training.
• Respond to member feedback with management coordination.
• Collaborate with departments for program development.
• Participate in staff meetings and training.
• Mentor Small Group Training associates.
• Assist Fitness Manager with retention programs.
• Maintain friendly, service-oriented staff relations.
• Be flexible with center hours and schedules.
• Meet safety requirements and certifications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and EMS communication.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
