Job summary

Henry Schein, Inc. in Lenexa, KS is seeking a service technician to perform basic service and repairs on a limited portfolio of handpieces and small equipment. The role includes diagnosing failures, using test equipment, and documenting evaluations and maintenance feedback.

You will repair and test products to established specifications, provide limited technical support, and perform additional tasks as assigned by supervision in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 0–6 months professional work experience in relevant mechanical trades preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand and perform standard procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Ability to read, understand and perform standard procedures and work instructions.

• Basic electrical / mechanical skills desired.
• Basic math and logic skills required.
• Basic computer skills and software use desired.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

0- 6 months professional work experience with proficiency in relevant mechanical trades preferred.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Travel - typically not required. Position typically works in a manufacturing environment on site where environmental conditions are stable. May be exposed to higher levels of noise typical in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, and operate manual and non-manual machinery; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch and lift up to 20 pounds. Position requires that the employee use eye protection using certain equipment/machinery.
