Job summary

Rural King in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Mechanic I to oversee the small engine repair shop within the store, including tractors when applicable. You will manage work orders, service and repair equipment, order parts, and handle warranty claims.

You will deliver on-site repairs with excellent customer service, follow safety protocols, and use the store's computer systems to identify parts, document repairs, order components, and process claims.

Qualifications

• Proficient in small engine, diesel, and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs.
• Strong skills in using Microsoft Office and in-store tech tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site repair services with timely customer service.
• Enforce equipment and tool safety protocols.
• Oversee safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials as required.
• Complete warranty paperwork and submissions promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation of repairs and progress.
• Keep a safe, clean shop environment and manage workloads effectively.
• Operate shop equipment and use computer systems to identify parts and process claims.
• Assist in loading/unloading customer machines and perform servicing of machines.
