Job summary

Tessera is seeking a Small Engine Mechanic in Junction City, Kansas (Fort Riley) to service military equipment and vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and support grounds maintenance equipment. The role is full-time, day shift, non-exempt, with a compensation of $26.44 per hour.

ASE certification is preferred and a minimum of three years of light to heavy truck experience is required. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain security clearances are also necessary.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain military equipment including wheeled and track vehicles, power generation, and material handling equipment.
• Perform minor repairs and services as outlined in manuals.
• Service and fuel transportation equipment and related machinery.
• Inspect and repair brakes, suspension, wheels, and steering systems.
• Maintain records, wash and lubricate vehicles, check fluids, and perform tire repairs.
