Job summary

Tessera is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support maintenance, repairs, and customer communication at Fort Riley, Kansas. The role involves assisting skilled trades, maintaining facilities and equipment, and ensuring quality workmanship while adhering to safety policies.

The position requires physical stamina for heavy labor, ability to work in varied environments, and a valid driver's license with security clearances as needed.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
• Communicate with scheduler to update the status of repairs, estimate completion dates and additional material requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies.

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift

Compensation: $20.41 - $20.41 per hour

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, and repetitive motion for several hours.
• May require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, standing, sitting, climbing in and out of vehicle, stairs.
• Perseverance under pressure for extended periods.

Requirements

• A valid state driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain coverage via Tessera's insurance.
• Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative such as a U.S. passport or military ID.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted.
