Job summary

Landscape East & West in Clackamas, Oregon is seeking an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain landscaping equipment and company trailers and vehicles. You will work with our team to keep mowers, saws, and skid steers running at peak performance.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with small engines, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting, plus a personal basic tool set.

Qualifications

Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines.
Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
Valid and insurable driver's license (CDL not required).
Own a personal basic tool set; specialty shop tools provided by employer.
Experience with hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting.
Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines including lawn mowers, blowers, chain saws, skid steers and trenchers.
Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
Communicate with landscaping crews and supervisors regarding repairs and service needs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
