Job description

Primary Purpose:

Maintains/repairs power equipment such as portable saws, mowers, weed eaters, custodial vacuum cleaners (hand-held and backpack) and also maintains safe and attractive grounds and landscaping for the district.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver’s license, insurable with Hutto ISD insurance carrier, and a good driving record.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs and maintenance.
• Knowledge of, and ability to operate, tractors, work trucks, Z-trac mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, power tools, hand tools, gasoline backpack blowers, etc.
• Ability to trim shrubs/trees, rake and mulch, plant trees and shrubs, etc.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Ability to communicate in English.
