The selection for Maintenance and Construction is based on fitness and ability, with preference given to: Maintenance and Construction District, System-Wide (L689), Authority-Wide, and external candidates.

This role is critical to mission functions and may require reporting during emergencies or service suspensions.
The Small Engine Mechanic repairs gasoline and diesel engines, stationary engines, pumps, lawn and snow removal equipment, and troubleshoots related problems. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs to restore equipment to serviceable condition.
Applicants will be evaluated based on education, experience, skills, interviews, background checks, and medical exams.
