Job description

Job Description:

Provides expert understanding and assistance to brokers, potential members, and existing members in the sale of Individual Plans and Products. Collaborates with Enrollment and Billing Departments throughout the sales and renewal process to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Job Essentials

  1. Trains and assists brokers with the sale of Individual Plan and Small Employer products, including explaining plans, products, rates, and options.
  2. Helps and educates potential and existing members in selecting the most suitable insurance plan, considering both Marketplace and off-marketplace options.
  3. Participates in various sales events, engaging professionally with brokers, customers, and department members.
  4. Manages a specific book of business and supports other Representatives' books as needed, communicating accurately and professionally in accordance with HIPAA and internal guidelines.
  5. Stays informed on legislative changes and healthcare reforms affecting the market, assisting brokers and applicants with this information.
  6. Enters data and updates the sales automation system accurately and promptly.
  7. Maintains a monthly average phone audit score of 93.5%.
  8. Completes all departmental testing successfully.

  • Shift Details: Typically Monday-Friday during business hours; may attend after-hours events and volunteer on weekends
  • Work Location: Remote option available

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of customer service experience
  • Two years of sales experience
  • Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and internet systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of health insurance and familiarity with Facets or similar systems
  • Experience in the health insurance industry
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork and customer service orientation

Physical Requirements:

  • Interaction requiring communication
  • Operation of computers and office equipment
  • Visual acuity for monitors and documents
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods

Location: SelectHealth - Murray, Utah

Work Hours: 40 hours/week, hourly rate $18.38 - $26.65 depending on experience
