What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Train and assist brokers with the sale of Individual Plan and Small Employer products, explaining plans, products, rates, and options
- Educate potential and existing members on selecting the most appropriate insurance plan, including options available on the Marketplace
- Attend sales events and engage with brokers, customers, and interdepartmental members professionally
- Manage a specific book of business while supporting other Representatives as needed, ensuring professional and confidential communication in compliance with HIPAA
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and health care reform, providing relevant information to brokers and individual plan applicants
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience
- Minimum of two years of sales experience
- Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet programs, and navigating internet-based systems
- Strong interpersonal skills, time management skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Understanding and functional knowledge of health insurance
- Familiarity with Facets software or similar eligibility systems
- Experience in the health insurance industry
- Excellent presentation skills and effective communication abilities with Individual Plan and Small Employer applicants and Insurance Brokers
- Detail-oriented with a strong customer service orientation
