Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments in the United States is seeking an experienced equity research analyst / portfolio manager to cover a broad universe of small-cap US stocks. You will conduct deep-dive fundamental research and develop differentiated views that inform stock selection and portfolio construction.

You will be responsible for building institutional-grade research, maintaining financial models, and communicating investment rationale to PMs and the trading desk.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of buy-side equity research experience.
• Strong financial modeling skills and comfort with primary source analysis (transcripts, SEC filings, NDRs, research trips, etc.).
• MBA or CFA designation preferred but not required.
• Occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain institutional-grade research across a broad coverage universe.
• Conduct multi-source analysis integrating fundamental data and management engagement.
• Track operational and financial metrics across coverage names quarterly.
• Develop and maintain financial models including price targets and synthesize findings into actionable investment recommendations.
