Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments in the US seeks an experienced equity research analyst / portfolio manager to cover a broad universe of small-cap US stocks. You will build institutional-grade research, perform multi-source analysis, and engage management to generate differentiated investment views that inform stock selection.

This high-ownership role requires strong financial modeling, independent thinking, and the ability to present ideas clearly to PMs and traders.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have approximately 5-10 years of buy-side equity research experience.
• Strong financial modeling skills and comfort with primary source analysis (transcripts, SEC filings, NDRs, research trips, etc.) are required.
• Effective communication of investment rationale to PMs and traders; experience presenting ideas externally is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain institutional-grade research across a broad coverage universe.
• Conduct multi-source analysis and direct management engagement.
• Track operational and financial metrics; develop financial models including price targets.
• Proactively incorporate new research tools and technology; raise quality and efficiency of the process.
