Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments in the U.S. Small-Cap Value team seeks an experienced equity research analyst / portfolio manager to cover a broad universe of small-cap US stocks.

This is a high-ownership, high-accountability seat on a small team that prizes intellectual rigor, disciplined execution, and independent thinking. The analyst will build and maintain institutional-grade research, track metrics, develop financial models, and synthesize findings into actionable investment

Qualifications

The candidate should have approximately 5-10 years of buy-side equity research experience.
Strong financial modeling skills and comfort with primary source analysis (transcripts, SEC filings, NDRs, research trips, etc.) are required.
Ability to communicate investment rationale efficiently to PMs and traders; presenting to clients/consultants is a plus.
MBA or CFA designation preferred but not required; occasional travel.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain institutional-grade research across a broad universe of small-cap US stocks.
Track operational and financial metrics and develop financial models including price targets.
Synthesize findings into actionable investment recommendations for the lead PM.
Proactively incorporate new research tools and improve team efficiency.
