Job summary

Astound is hiring a field sales representative in Texas to grow small business accounts by selling Fiber Internet, Voice, Hosted Voice, and related services through in-person outreach. You will build relationships with local businesses, manage a sales funnel, and meet monthly quotas while reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of practical, hands-on canvassing or cold-calling small and medium sized business customers.
• Hunter mentality and comfortable with in-person, door-to-door selling of Astound services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Excellent detail orientation and follow through skills.
• Strong discretionary skills, as this position will have access to and work with information of a confidential nature.
• Ability to have a flexible schedule, some nights and weekends required.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn and understand the cable industry, regional communities, and customers.
• Ability to build relationships with local chambers, attending trade fairs to build brand awareness and new opportunities for Astound.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships within the region’s communities and develop territory strategies towards acquiring new business.
• Outside door-to-door business sales of Astound business services including Fiber Internet, Voice, Hosted Voice and other related products to business accounts in assigned geographical areas.
• Meet individual performance requirements and monthly quota for new Small Business customers.
• Manage and self-track day-to-day sales activity and report to Regional Sales Manager.
• Explain features, benefits, pricing and promotional offers to potential customers.
