Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a dedicated plant operator to oversee the slaking process quality and timing, supervise slurry distribution, and perform routine maintenance of the slurry system. The role requires strong mechanical skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a heavy industrial setting.

You will ensure safety procedures are followed, complete daily and monthly reports, and coordinate with local contractors to resolve on-site issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year’s heavy industrial experience.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Ability to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and policies according to regulations.
• Ensure paperwork (pre-shift, PMs, reports) is accurate and timely.
• Report safety or operational issues to supervision.
• Perform tasks neatly and safely per company rules.
• Operate equipment (front-end loader) for cleanup.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Unload rail cars and trucks and mix lime with water safely.
• Travel to other operating sites as needed.
