Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Materials Scientist to lead the development of SLS materials from concept to market readiness. You will partner with product, hardware, and software teams to iterate and optimize formulations based on customer feedback.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, rigorous experiments, and autonomous learning to push material performance while documenting processes and results diligently.

Qualifications

  • Solid fundamentals in materials science and polymer development.
  • Hands-on experience with thermo-plastic engineering and material testing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research to advance SLS material performance from ideation to validation.
  • Collaborate with product, hardware, and software teams to iterate material solutions based on feedback.
  • Develop methodologies to evaluate material formulations with SLS print systems.
