Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to support speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

You will work directly with students to implement therapy plans, collect data, and help achieve communication goals while adhering to professional standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and caregivers, accurate documentation, and compliance with HIPAA/FERPA and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant studies, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
• Valid SLPA license or registration as required by the state.
• Experience with children or individuals with communication disorders preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and work collaboratively under supervision.
• Basic proficiency with documentation systems and educational or clinical technology.

Responsibilities

• Implement speech and language therapy activities as outlined by the supervising SLPA.
• Provide direct support to students in individual and group settings.
• Assist with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication interventions.
• Collect, document, and report data on client performance and progress.
• Prepare therapy materials and organize treatment environments.
• Maintain confidential service logs and documentation per requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and staff under supervision.
