Job summary

Thrive Therapy of Kansas is seeking a Part-Time Home Health Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in the KCK area. The SLPA will work under a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individualized therapy for communication, speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs in patients’ homes.

Responsibilities include implementing plans, delivering services in home settings, documenting progress, and educating patients and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program.
• Active Kansas SLPA license/certification required.
• 1+ year SLPA experience preferred.
• Pediatric or adult therapy experience preferred.
• Home health experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated and compassionate.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Provide speech and language therapy services to patients in their homes.
• Assist patients in improving communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills as directed by the SLP.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and condition changes in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, home exercises, and communication strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach during all visits.
