Job summary

Thrive Therapy of Kansas is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our home health team serving the Wichita area. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed SLP to provide individualized therapy in patients’ homes, addressing communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program.
• Active Kansas SLPA license/certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of SLPA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Provide speech and language therapy services to patients in their homes.
• Assist patients in improving communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills as directed by the SLP.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and condition changes in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, home exercises, and communication strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach during all visits.
